Give it a rest (pardon the pun) on a simple archery rest. Get you a good drop away for the best accuracy and speed. If it don't touch, it can't affect either...
I do shoot a stick and string more often than compounds!I also shoot my WB out to 100yds and have compared it to my groups at that distance with a drop-away(and most distances in between). No noticable difference. As far as speed 2-3fps speed loss doesn't matter to me!

I wasn't just talking about a WB. It's more directed to the ones that want to keep it simple and use the WB and still have all this other mechanical stuff in their repertoire.
Do it stick and string, no releases, no sights and no feeders or trailcams.
Or face the fact the a drop away rest is no more the devil than any of the other "mechanical" devices...

You're on a float plane hunt in Alaska and the drop away breaks, where do you go to get it fixed and tuned? Even if you had a second one in the field could you set it up? I can a wb. As for the other mechanical devices I assume you would be refering to the release and I carry a second one on each hunt.
So for those situations they are the devil unless you like an expensive photo safari.

I like the WB myself. No problems, works flawlessly. Why fix it if it aint broke?

Carry a WB as back up!

I'll be switching to a QAD drop soon.
