The noise issue with them is definitely something to consider. It all depends on the arrow. I am currently shooting Easton Axis arrows which have a very smooth finish and they make virtually no noise. Other arrows with a rougher finish do not do as well.

Yes Bowtech bought out Catawba and is calling it the Hostage and arrows with a smooth finish are much quieter as Jbamburg pointed out.
I don't shoot either of these rests. I always liked the total containment of the biscuit, but couldn't get past the vane contact. I know many have no problems. The new Hostage could be the best of both worlds. I have heard people knocking them for being plastic, but is in reality a composite housing and a metal or aluminum bracket.

I SHOT A WB WITH MY OLD PSE FIREFLIGHT FOR 8 YEARS OR SO AND SHOT GREAT GROUPS WITH IT, BUT RETIRED THE OLD PSE AND GOT A NEW PSE MACH X AND MY ARROWS WERE ALL OVER THE PLACE ON THE TARGET AND IN THE AIR AND IT WAS WELL TUNED. PUT A NAP DROP AWAY ON AND NOW IM HITTIN ARROW WITH ARROWS, I DIDNT KNOW WHY BUT SOMETHING WAS UP. ALL AND ALL THE WB IS A DAM FINE REST BUT THE DROP AWAYS ARE GEREAT TO
HAPPY HUNTIN.

love mine and have killed plenty of deer with it at very close ranges including the one in my avatar. Most KISS method bow setup available if you ask me. I have crawled up and shot hogs with it as well as hanging my bow upside down in a tree just about with no problems.
If I was shooting paper at long ranges it might matter, but I just hunt!

Here is a good review on it. http://www.huntersfriend.com/catawba...est-review.htm

I switched to one last year and love it. Noise on the draw can be an issue. Use slick arrows and draw slow and it's not really an issue. Also, they are are tough on vanes....Blazers are the only way to go.
All in all, as far as a "hunting" rest, I believe it is the most functional/dependable on the market. I would consider the Catabwa (Hostage), but, I shoot Epics and they are not designed for the slim arrows.

i love mine. i used 2 differant rests before the biscuit, but i like the capture-no chance of the arrow falling off! and i had that happen once-had to watch the family of deer eat for 15 minutes at 10 yds away with my arrow stuck in the ground beneath me! i shoot c/e terminator arrows(rough shaft) and the can be noisy when the "biscuit" is new,but a summer of practice broke it in good and it is fine now. the noise is not an issue from what i've seen and i've drawn on deer at 15 yds the last 3 yrs and on hogs at 10 yds with no problems. i did replace the factory vanes with blazers and haven't had an issue with "curling" of the blazers. over all i would recommend, but then i've never used a drop-away either. that's just my experience with the biscuit!

BTW Even now that I'm grouping good and feel confident with my bow I dont have any reason to swap rests, I'll be keeping the biscuit.

I used one for years with no probs and killed lots of animals, heck I even won some league shoots with it on my Hoyt, and people say it ain't good with paper!!the only reason I switched 3 yrs ago was I put my WB on my sons bow for him to start out with and I went with the TR DropZone!! But still think I may go back to it one day when I get another bow!!
