There is, but it is also a good time to cut back on the mail, since the company I work for will not allow mailbox sizes. Can you say 30GB mailboxes

Don't feel too bad guys. I have to deal with it (the itch) until about the 15th. Stuck on a project at work that won't end till around that time. Good luck to all of you lucky guys that atleast get to jump in a stand this weekend.

I love this part. Getting all the gear double checked again and shooting the bow a few more times. Man I love how the excitement builds.

Yes its bad...When an exchange database gets marked in a dirty state you have to run a repair on it before you can mount it back up into exchange... You can do one of 2 types of repair a soft and a hard, if the soft fails then you have to do a hard repair and then defrage. A hard repair usually processes between 5-6gb an hour, take the largest edb i have that is 660gb its roughly going to take 130+ hours jsut to repair. Then you have to create a recovery storage group.

The quickest way to get mail restore to users so you wont hear all the complain is to move the dirty database and create a Blank database(Dial Tone). However you will still hear complaints as they will loose thier contacts and calendar events since the Dial Tone Db was a blank DB.

In short its bad and very time consuming...
