Is it in symbols or written out?

We have several Japanese speaking staff. Send it to me and I'll pass it by one of them.

Yes it is in symbols, so I can't use anything to translate since I don't have any of those symbols on my keyboard, but thanks for the try.

I either emailed or PM, not sure of the difference both innergel and bourland I think. I can email the scanned image, but don't know how to attach it to the message thing thru the website.

The only Japanese I know is that of the name of my "Hula Skirted Blowup Doll" I took to the Jimmy Buffet Concert several years back. Her name was "Kumonawannalaya". Least, I think it's Japanese

It is out of a owner's manual for a mini truck. That light is on the dash, but don't know what the light means.

It has something to do with an engine and it states that you have to start the process with the key in the "ON" position and the engine NOT running if that helps any.

It does not translate well at all but then again, what Japanese does?

Oh, and the warning at the bottom says to be ware of the hot gases or steam. I can,t tell which.

Here is the direct translation from one of our staff. She says it's confusing, so take it for what it's worth.

                        Warning light for exhaust temperature

When the temp of the system goes up to high, the light will turn on.
At the normal situation, when you turn on engine switch the light will be turn on (momentarily). When you start the engine, the light will go off.

When the light for exhaust temp is turned on while you are driving:
                        1. Pull over and make sure nothing is flammable, turn off the engine and let the engine cool down (for 10 minutes)
                        2. The warning light will not be turned off until it is repaired. So go to a Mitsubishi service center and have it checked.
In addition, when you have to move your car, lower the number of engine revolutions, then drive. (drive slowly)

CAUTION! While the engine is spinning/moving, warning light for exhaust temperature and the warning light recharger might be turned on simultaneously. This does not mean the temp is going up, it means there is a problem with the recharging device/system/battery.

                          "Kumonawannalaya" is Hawaiian

                            Thanks Jason,

At least now I know where to start looking. It comes on when the engine is cold and never goes off, so must be a sending unit problem.
