$99 Academy tripod upgrade

Thought I would share my modification to the academy tripod. Instead of leaving on the shooting rail I opted to replace it and just have armrests. I cut (2) 1"X1" pieces of aluminum square tubing 10 1/2" long, covered with some heat shrink and bolted on. Man this thing is comfortable! I give it an A+. Thanks for the heads up on these FD!

Good idea! I thought about buying but decided on the tree climber. Good luck with the upcoming season! Sounds like you're gonna be very comfortable up there!
