Ocelot sighting in Mason Kimble County.

That is what I was told by our lease manager(the guy that writes the big check and then collects our money). He siad the rancher told him that they have a picture of it. The ranch we hunt on is 60,000 acres of which we have 4000. The supposed sighting was 3 0r 4 miles away. I am still not buying it as they are endangered and only exist in far South Texas. We do seem to have a very small fawn crop this year...but...an Ocelot?

I've never heard of one that far north. If you had 100 of them, I doubt they would put a dent in the fawn crop.

      Maybe just a bobcat?

When you hear stories like this, they never materialize to be true. If it is anything it is a bobcat. I have a hard time believing anything especially since it isn't from a biologist and that it is that far north
I know a guy that studies them in south texas for his PhD and he never sees them unless he traps them or gets them on camera.
Plus the population down there isn't that big

Yeah, there is only like 80-120 of them. I laughed when they told me this.
