    Is this persimmon?

    persimmon tree? First one I have seen on my property.

                  Different persimmons CB. We have some non-edible (for people) persimmons in central/south texas (at least) that have small dull olive colored leaves, black fruit about the size of a dime, and bark kind of like a eucalyptus tree.

                      I was about 15 the first time I saw a "real" persimmon tree in East Texas and I was like..uhhh...THATS not a persimmon...hehehe...

                      I've got some "specimen" trees of our local persimmons at the ranchito...I'll try to remember to take a few pictures and post them in this thread...

                              I'm trying to find a pic of the ones in Centex but no luck so far. In Blanco county ours look just about like the pic's above(black ones) and they are really good eats
