    Need some advice

Going to keep this short and to the point, i need some advice....I'm part of a club at school. We have a big fund raising event coming up next week. The problem is it falls during the week, and worst of all it falls during classes. Now as a member of the club i will benefit from the money earned, and i do want to assist with the event. The problem comes is the time during which 98% of the help is needed is when I'm in class, working or at physical therapy. On top of that i have 3 exams that week, and other classes do in-class quizzes. Now they have offered us excuse notes to get excused from classes but that does not allow us to make up quizzes with most profs. As far as work, i only work 13 hours a week and must put in at least 12 to keep my job, not to mention i need the money from work to pay for things such as gas, food, rent, and insurance. I'm stuck between should i be dropping my school and work commitments to help out or not? My feeling is that i'm in school to get an education and clubs come second to that. I can't tell if i'm making the right call or not??

    Thanks

See if a friend or family member can take your place to help with the benefit.

That's all I got for you.....
Best of luck and don't skip class!!!
Take your exams or talk to your teachers to see if you can A. Test early or B. Do a paper in the place of the exam.
Most professors will work with you if you tell than your situation.

My job once shipped me to Atlanta then to Navada during mid terms and finals.
In both cases, my teachers let me test out of the classes.

    Best of luck

No question as to what should be first...your job and your education...the club is an optional thing....

What other ways could you help out before/after the fundraiser, or early/after hours? Prep time or tear down? Just trying to think outside the box...

I'm going to be at tear down on Saturday, but set up is Tuesday during class is the problem. On top of that it didn't help that this week and next week (the week of the event) i have 3 exams each week. needles to say ALL free time goes to studying! even sleep has become a luxury

Sounds like the leaders of the club need to be a little more organized and work around their volunteer's schedules.
I would prioritize school, then work, and if there was time left over, then the club.
Is the club paying your tuition?
Will the club pay for you to retake the class(es) you fail because you're helping them?
If either answer is no, then tell the club no.
