Kindle users - free borrowing from your local library is up!

mentioned this on another thread and got asked about it and how to do it.

Amazon has now entered into an agreement with the Overdrive library software system where you can "check out" a book from the local library onto your Kindle.

No kidding - did it this morning from the Irving Public Library. it worked easily and simply. just clicked their ebook link, then a link to KINDLE BOOKS and the next you know I'm entering my library code number and then being pinged to Amazon's site to download it on to my Kindle. 30 seconds later - bang - it's on my Kindle for seven days.

    more info about that here:

A Kindle blog of Kindle Fire tips plus Paperwhite and eInk eReader tutorials + guides to currently free Kindle books + latest tablet and eReader news.

Kindles are great - this feature makes them even greater! get you some good reading for the stand this season!

Also check with your local school district for availability of books from their library. i know the middle schools here made their entire library available for download in both nook and kindle.

thanks for the heads-up. I just checked and even our little library has it already.
