Attn: E texas hunters what are you seeing?

I have been hunting our lease north of groveton and have not been seeing anything to speak of, last week saw 4 spikes one 4pt and one 6 pt. none chasing any does. sunday and monday (yesterday) one spike in two days, my buddy hunting on the same lease saw nada nothing. We are on 2200 acres and last weekend the others (gun hunters) saw minimal game, any body else having this same luck? I am hunting in an acorn flat with a fence and water nearby, awesome set up but seems like the action has ceased.

i was hunting the davy crocket for a week straight and never saw a deer while in the stand-hunted all day-saw plenty running around the roads. The people caping next to us took 4 8 points in 2 days-they said everyone was coming in chasing

Majority of our movement has been in the evenings. Seeing a few on the way to the stand before daylight but they seem to move out before the fog settles.

We hunt in Yard, outside of Palestine, and we have been seeing quite a few good bucks. Opening weekend we saw 3 bucks that would go 140 or better, but they were hot on the tail of does. Last weekend we saw 2 bucks and just a handful of does. I hope it hurries up and cools off and maybe get them moving a little better.

We had a great Sunday morning between Jacksonville & Nacog.

Toting the boom-sticks my buddy saw (3) legal-shooters (13" inside) cross the powerline he was setting on.

My 5 year old daughter and I had one really nice buck chase 4 doe(s) out of the woods and across our narrow foodplot before we could get a shot at him or any of the doe(s).
One doe made her way back to our location and she was "harvested" with the 270 TC Pro-Hunter.

Bucks were all on a mission.

Corn feeders are not being visited and several areas with large white oaks have acorns piled up underneath them.

Glad we were over there to actually witness deer in the area and bucks chasing.

Season had been very slow with very few sightings prior to this.

Wish I were over there right now!

I just spent 4 days at my lease in Harrison Co. and only saw does the whole time. My dad killed a nice 7 point and I killed 2 does, but other than that, we got skunked.

Slow here on Sam Rayburn as well. This morning was my 11th straight hunt without a deer sighting - saw some good bucks Oct. 24 - 28 not much since. Gonna go after tree rats tomorrow and get back after it Thurs/Fri when the cooler weather comes in.

All of the gun hunters have done pretty good the first 2 weeks on our lease, There has been 3 decent eights 1-115-120'' 10 and my Dad shot an 11 that I rough scored at about 128 since opening day
Oh we hunt on 350 outside of Moscow

I killed this buck this past Friday.

Before Friday I was seeing some good action but since then, I haven't even seen a doe! Movement has definately come to a hault with this warm spell. Come on cool weather! This is in Montgomery County.

houston county: we're seeing a lot of does mostly. opening weekend we took a big 7 and 2 spikes, I also saw a very nice size 8, but since then we've only seen does and one spike. Its a little slow right now. Hopefully it will get colder and things will "heat up"

Anderson County: This has been the slowest season I can remember. Last year I saw deer every time I hunted, this year, only once and it was 5 does that came by last week. It might just be where I'm hunting, 'cause I know others in the county who've done pretty good.
