    Problem with Stealthcam!!!!

Bought 2 stealthcams and already have returned one back to them because of the same problem I am having with the two I currently have, so that makes 3 I have had that do not work...What is happening is I will set the camera up, and it will flash with the frequency I set the capture mode at, I can sit there and let it "capture" 50 pics of me in front of it, and it will show them being captured on the LCD screen on the front. But when I take the SD card out and plug it into my computer or into my card reader the folder shows up empty, no photos at all. I have bought 4 different SD cards just to confirm it is not the SD card, and it still does not actually capture pictures on the card! Have any of ya'll had a serious problem? Can ya'll think of anything I may be doing wrong? Please any info will be greatly appreciated as this is getting to be very obnoxious!

I have eight stealths and have had plenty of problems with them

but thats not one of them, i'd check the lock on the cards. I bet the pictures are on the onboard memory.

wow, i've got two of the 5MP cams and no probs so far in two years. My cousin just bought the 8MP version so I'll be interested to check his and see how they work. I know I had some issues with them not taking pictures, but that was because I tried to use them before I knew how and had them on test mode somehow.

Been along time since I had a stealthcam. Didn't they have a menu choice for save to card?

I just acquired 6 of the Stealthcam "Unit" models(not by my choice, I wanted Primos 46's). I really hope we don't have any problems with them.

We quit using them because the batteries would go dead after about 20 pics with fresh batteries (flash). They are out of grand prairie, but they had no customer service. Use Moultrie now. Every couple of years the led screen goes out, but they send me a new one and I install it and keep on trucking.

This SD cards aren't locked, I called stealth about it and talked to a foreigner til I about had it, and all they could tell me that it was weird and that it might just be saving on my camera storage, and they would send me a USB cord, so I could check it, but that is just an inconvenience that I do not want to have to deal with, taking the camera out of the woods every time I wanna check the pics? No thanks! Someone else posted about there might be a setting to put it on my SD card anybody know if I'm missing on that option or something?

Try a 1 GB sd card, this happened to mine with a 2 GB and the 1 GB did the trick.

Are you turning the camera off before removing the cards? It should be off.

Yes I am, I'm gonna go buy a 1 gig card instead of the Two and see if that helps at all?!

Some of the camera's have a max size they can use. If you go over that they record to the onboard memory. Downsizing the Sd card might solve this problem.

^^ I agree. Have plenty of problems with the ones we have.. can't pop the SD cards in my camera or one of my laptops to check pics without having to go back and reformat it for the camera..so pay attention to that as well.
