        The 3 bars I have seen just off the square are Scores, Phoenix, and Calahan's Pub. Never been to any of the, but drive by everyday when I drop off/ pick up the kids @ school.

          As for food try Mcadoos seafood off the hook! Right off the square. All waterin hole have been mentioned

            Pretty sure you are talking aabout The Half Shell-I havent been in a few years but it used to be good.

                        I lived there for a few years, about 10 years ago, and out standard watering hole was 'THE WATERING HOLE'. It's out close to the interstate, and lets just say it had everything a single guy needed if he didn't feel like driving into San Antonio.

                        Usually a fresh crop of tourist women every night, all summer long.
