I think they are going to be the next wild pigs of the sky.
Ditto on this. Lived in Montgomery all my life until moving to Tuscaloosa in 2007. In Montgomery we had a seemingly ever increasing population of the Eurasian Doves from the 1990's I guess. They are aggressive and I finally quit feeding mourning doves in the back yard because of them.
However, I do not see as many Eurasians in Tuscaloosa and I wonder if it because I am in a different plant hardiness zone. I will attach a map which shows Tuscaloosa on the edge of Zones 7 and 8. As a reference I believe Zone 8 is about the limit for growing a Live Oak. I guess this may mean I am OK in Tuscaloosa but need to bring some birdshot if I come to South Texas. Believe I am correct in saying there is still no Closed Season in Alabama on them. KAE
p.s. Artos, how do they taste?

I wrote my paper on the effects of fire ants on the quail population.
The ones listed above sound pretty good:
Drought effects on fawn survival
Wild fire effects on the growth in forested areas and how the restriction of wildfires has changed the type of flora and fauna that thrive in those areas.
