Heath I get what you are saying. At the same time if you want to use the mentality that what matters is the players having fun, and the school and town getting money, then there should just be bowl games for everybody. What about a playoff between the conference champions and bowl games for everybody else.

Which conference champions get into the playoffs? The conference champs from the Mountain West, Big East, Conference USA carry the same weight as a Big 10 or SEC champ? Wouldn't you be leaving out a lot of great teams if you just take conference champs in your playoffs.

If you have a playoffs, do you expect the visiting fans to travel each week (with a weeks notice) to the playoff sites around the country?
