    Which Crossbow?

For all the crossbow shooters on this site, which crossbow would you go with? Excalibur, Horton, or Barnett? If anybody has any pros or cons to any of these please let me know. Looking at the $500-$600 range. Just mainly want one for plinking or maybe shooting some hogs. Probably wouldnt shoot it more than 50 times a year. Thanks for any information.

Stay away from Barnetts- I like the Excaliburs the best and shoot all before I got my wife one- I have one hasnt been shot since my wife recovered from surgery if you are considering buying one used. Its a Horton Legind XL 175 with a Simmons red dot scope. $250 its yours - If you are looking at new I think a Excalibur and Ten Point are going to be out of your price rage once you have everything you need to shoot.

I agree with glen stay away from Barnetts. I want to get one of the Excaliburs crossbows. They are sweet shooters and are crazy fast.

Dad had a horton, he used it to kill javelinas. Nice bow for a reasonable price.

horton in your price range. get the 175 HD. Tip it with a solid one piece head and whammo! Go check out the video I just put up of a javelina. They may be loud but they hit like a mack truck!
