I know that I didn't just read on another thread that you were leaving early to go hunt did I?

I'm from Nacogdoches and I shot with the Nacogdoches Bow Hunters. We met at the west ramp at Lake Nacogdoches to shoot 3D, both day and night shoots. Little drive from Jasper, but maybe some help.

Darrell is right on with his comment! I am mossyoakprincess' husband and yes, she was the "Clifton Archery Club". I have never seen anyone put so much energy and time into something like that. Just like Mossy Oak says, "it's not just a passion, it's an obsession". We have two sons, one is 5 and the other is 7...they have been shooting 3D for 3 years now. My wife has been shooting a bow since she was knee high. She shot a recurve until about 2 years ago. I bought her a compound on Valentines Day in 2005 and believe me, it has been a task getting her used to it...but, she started shooting better! In fact, she took a very nice buck on Oct. 13th this year...only 9 ft from her. I am very fortunate to have found a woman who shares the same interest as I do. The one thing we argue most about is "who is going to hunt and who is going to keep the kids"!!!!

There used to be 3D shoots all over east Texas but most of the clubs have died out. They used to have a one 3d shoot a month over in Livingston but not anymore.

Yeah, when I read the first post today, I said Thats that couple from Jasper! Is that the broke nose deer? That thing was cool. So far Ive shot a buck and a doe with my bow and going again next week to look for a monster buck I never could get close enough last time. Hows your club doing? Ours is getting bigger all the time. We're having an outdoor 3-d shoot next month to raise some money for equipment. We're giving away some deer/hog hunts and a whole bunch more cool prizes. I know its kinda far, but we would love to have yall if you can make it. The details are listed in the 3-d section with some instructors contact info. Good luck with the club. Mike
