anyone hunt the east texas pines..

Creepy stuff. I was sitting in a tree stand one evening bow hunting a creek bed for hogs, and out of nowhere comes this roaring, like nothing I've ever heard before, it sounded off twice with short bursts lasting 2-3 seconds each, I'd say a half mile straight ahead. Everything went silent. No more birds chirping or critters rustling, lets just say i hurried out of the stand bout 10 minutes before dark. I was on a friends lease that gave me permission to hunt and he and his son have always told me stories about how they have heard Big foot, and i just laughed it off. I am a BELIEVER now. When i described the sound both of there eyes just got wide. it was definitely the same creature. i get goose bumps just as bad now typing this as i did then sitting in that tree stand 16 feet off the ground. I'm convinced it was Big foot. I have heard mountain lions and coyotes and anything else you can name. NO other experience like it.And one i wont forget anytime soon. Anyone else heard this noise? sightings?

    He's out there somewhere!

ive never heard that noise before, but i agree with you. i was sitting in a ground blind on our lease one evening, it was almost dark and i heard the loudest scream that i have ever heard in my life, sounded like 15 women screaming at one time, man it absolutely scared the s*** outta me and i hauled butt outta there, the worst part tho was that i had bout a 1/2 mile walk back to my 4 weeler, i do believe that was the quickest i ever made that walk, it definately was some kinda weird

I'm not saying either way but their are things out their that's never been seen or discovered so I say it's plausible for sure.

Ive hunted the piney woods for the past 5 years....heard some odd sounds out there, but was able to find most of them online. A grey fox screaming is a creepy and human sound out there. Also a boar coughing/choking will send eveything silent.

I have seen what I believe to be Jaguars in the Davy Crockett National Forest outside Alto Texas 3 years ago.. The Scream that the closest one let loose sounded like a woman screaming... the other answered in a long gutteral growl that went on for what seemed minuets. I stayed put it was getting to dark to shoot when they came into sight about 70 yards away on a hill top moving toward the Neches river.. needless to say I felt way safer in that tree than on the ground.. and it was a hasty trip back to the truck.. I spoke with a wildlife biologist and he said it is very possible they were dark colored Cougars moving through the area..

There is no telling what may be in the Deep woods that has never seen a Human....

it is the cougars that tpwd says we do not have in east texas. I have seen these long tailed cats that are completely wild and larger than bobcats. i have heard those screams before in the same areas I would see them. No big foot though

Bobcat screams/roars are not bad for their size. Heard them on several occasions.

I had something try to climb the tree with me one year when I was hunting in Yellow pine. I was 25 feet up the tree in my climber about an hour before light and the tree starts to shake and I hear ripping of the bark. It freaked me out and I never found out what it was, but it was big. Glad I was up high. I have goosebumps writing this.

Buckrunner and I were hunting pigs at Granger lake and were in the woods after dark and heard a very loud and schrill scream like that as described. Scared te heck out of me. Something was going through the deadfall to my right in between the two of us and we both thought that the other was playing a trick, but the sound was inhuman.

Can you imagine the taxidermy bill on a Big Foot?

i wanna reply to everyone! haha, but i just cant bring my self to think that it was a grey fox, a boar, or and panther/cougar. ive heard most of those sounds. it was deep and and it repeated its self so quickly. it seemed like an angry or injured scream or something.
