How much arrow do y'all leave stickin out at full draw?

I've got about 3" from my rest.

I was told that is too much by a TBHer. 3 inches plus the broadhead?

I always heard just enough to clear the shelf, be careful so your finger is not in the way. The way I look at it, its just extra wasted weight

My BH just clears the shelf.. like mh baseball stated, be careful with bow hand finger on drawback
