I own a shop in Angleton and work on these trucks often. Look up Performance Transmission and Auto Repair, Inc. 979-864-3280

Is the coolant dexcool? Orange coolant?

I believe there are test that show the dexcool was great for the interactions with the metals in the block but played havoc on gasket around 80 to 100k miles.

I drained all my dexcool and went to a general all purpose coolant.

There is a short 2"-3" long 5/8"hose that is often the source of these hard to find leaks. It is hard to see, it is down behind all the brackets and junk.

Check the inlet line for the EGR cooler. This is the short hose that bridges the transition between the metal tubes.

If you climb up on top of the motor and look straight down between the air intake tube and the EGR manifold, you can see it.

I fought this too, new water pump still leak, the small hose
Was replaced, but the problem was a metal pipe with flange that
Goes to the water pump,it has an O ring that was blown, replaced it, blown again, then we found out about a bleeder screw to let air out of the system, replaced Oring again an bleed air off. Problem fixed. Good luck

Would any of these issues that have been mentioned other than head gasket cause coolant to leak in the oil?

Sounds like head issues bro. Bummer
