    Ar-15 accerories?

im think about getting an Ar for pigs but was wonder if a night vision scope was worth it or should i just get an acog or normal scope and put a light on it so i can hunt day or night?
    comments appreciated

EoTech and a light is what I use.

If you want to go NV, You could go ahead and get one of the NV compatible EoTechs and save up for a PVS-14 or similar unit and mount em inline.

No, EoTech is a non magnified holographic unit. ACOG is magnified like a scope kinda. I think its just a red dot reticle though.

The ACOG will work with the PVS-14 the same way as the EoTech though. It just comes down to what you want.

negative. eotech is eotech and acog is trijicon. they do the same job, in a manner of speaking, but not the same thing. be ready to drop some coin on trijicon if you want to seriously play with them.

You could even go with an EoTech and a magnifier and a light if you wanted too. That would give you a massive window for different uses for about the same price as one of the Trijicon ACOGS. You can not use the magnifier with the NV unit though, It will burn the tube up quicker.

My friend has night vision its sweet. But we both farm so I
The scope pays its self off because hogs mess up our crops bad. IV shot it before but they aren't good if you wana shoot during the day.

Go with a aimpoint, magnifier and a light you'll be fine out to 150 Yds if u get a good light

                            Vortex Viper PST 1-4

Huge FOV, lighted reticle (compatible with NV) and you won't need additional light on a full moon or near full moon. The glass is awesome.
