I am a Nikon customer for life

Sent in my 7-8yo Monarch ATB Bino's. Both lenses were busted, and the spot where the strap attaches was busted off. 100% from me beating the crap out them, slamming them in the door, dropping them out of a 10ft tower, etc.

Told Nikon the whole story and they wanted $20 to fix them...homerun.

Just got back in the office and had a box from them.

Brand New 2011 model...you have to be kidding me.

    Nikon gets from me.

I did the Same thing with a LEUPOLD VXII I bought on here the other day.

Sent it in to have it looked over and a new reticle put it.

They called Friday and said they were replacing it with a brand new one for free and needed to know If I wanted Matte or gloss finish.

Nikon and Leupold have GREAT customer Service!

I had the well known eyepiece problem with my Monarchs. Sent them in a month ago and got 'em back in about 10 days fixed good as new. No charge. I'm a fan.

Link to forms for sending them in? I have a pair that was great- until they all of a sudden starting making you see double. Worth a shot.

I'll try to find it later but just go to their website. There is a place where you input the info and it generates two forms. One is a work order for when it arrives there. It tells them what is wrong and who the optics belong to. The other is a shipping label.

I don't know that they will just fix any binoculars for free. My Monarchs were covered under a 25 year no fault warranty. In the end though, all it cost me was shipping to get the binos to them.

I didn't know about it either until it happened to me and I did a wee bit of research. On the eyecups you can twist them to adjust for eye relief. Mine broke on one side where it wouldn't go in or out. After doing some research, this is apparently a very common problem with these binos but it appears to be an easy fix. You can unscrew those eyepieces easily from the housing. I'm guessing it took whoever fixed mine about 1.5 minutes to repair the problem.

I didn't have such a good experience with them.

I've had nothing but great service from Vortex.

Glad it worked out for you. Maybe they are changing their policies.
