I try and not look at it like dollars and cents . I sure I have blown enough on bow hunting in the past thirty years to buy some property and a small home . I live for archery so price isn't an issue until it starts to take away from my family . I have gone through 14 FMJ's on hogs since April . I killed 15 but one was so small I pinned it to the ground so it didn't break the shaft when the hog ran off ........

To me archery is a way of life not so much a spreadsheet of expenditures . Nice deer Mud !!!!!

I bought my Easton Flatline shafts and Slick Tricks on Ebay...

              Easton Flatline DOA shaft.... $6.67
              Cameron Wraps........ $1.25
              Blazer fletching ....... .75
              Slick Tricks 100 grain..... $8.00
              Firenock...........................$17.00

              $33.67 with Firenok......and $16.67 without.

**** after figuring that, it sure does make me sick at my stomach thinking about the practice draw in my blind one day when the slack in my glove tripped my release and I sent $33.67 and a nice bright red light down the sendero behind this feedpen. Found it it down at the very end of this opening at the far cedar tree in this pic. Bush league mistake on my part and that glove is now missing a trigger finger...........I did salvage the firenok.

                Off topic I apologize..

                Hey Smart,
what brand feeder is that? or is it DIY? I always like you feeder set ups, clean and sturdy.

Compared to leases, four wheelers, gas, CORN, bows, feed, hotels, licenses, camo, scent lock, processing and taxidermy they are cheap. I will keep throwing mine. You boys don't forget to figure on cameron's custom wraps in your prices.

I am embarrassed, my broadhead is more than most of your set ups, good thing is I do not throw many if any at deer, for hogs I will use a more affordable set up.

Thanks BHR.... They are 600lb Big Horn feeders made in Texas by Big Horn Metals. Here is a new one although they no longer come with the corn gauge. I'd buy them without that 14x14 varmint guard as it is useless.
