    SBXT new string?

I have decided to stick with the SBXT, now question is replace string or not. No frays and serving is good, I wax religiously. I measured the center to center of axles and came up with 31-1/8" several times measuring both sides to make sure no idler lean. Learned this assembling race motors mic, mic, and mic again....lol. The SBXT is advertised as 31", are they exactly 31" or just close? Am thinking everything still good, but wanted ok from TBH brethren.

In my experience all bows will vary in A to A length. But see what you find out

99 times out of 100, with cam rotated properly,(machine holes in cam parrallell with string while bow is maxed), A2A will be shorter than advertised.
Limb pre-load. Long A2A will have low poundage.
Check poundage while making adjustments to A2A and brace measurements.
Strings never shrink,...........Keep this in mind.

New strings might not be needed.
You should be able to have your string and cable twisted to get your bow to spec.
Strings should be changed @ 3-4 thousand shots.

Cool thanks, I bought the bow new in '08 and I know I am no where near that many shots with it. I will check the alignment on the cam to string this afternoon. I assume the alignment of cam/string will be off if string/cable has stretched some right?

I would replace the string and cable. You can get good sets for about 50 bucks. Just my opinion though, but I think 3 years on the bow is long enough.

To set your AtA requires twisting or un-twisting the cable depending on whether it is short or long. In your case you are a little long so probably about 1 or 1 1/2 twist will get you there. You will need to check your timing again since this may move the cam as well. It isn't rocket science and it doesn't sound like you need a new string just some adjusting.

How does it look, serving, near cam area? Still good? If in doubt, take it to pro shop and check it.

Who is the pitcher? We completed softball last year when kid graduated college.

Serving looks fine in cam area, and girl is my daughter. She's a junior in high school as of this year.

I've had the pleasure of umpiring some of her games. She's a good kid and a good player. She must've gotten it from you, because I'm sure she didn't get it from her mom
