      Are you asking cause you plan on shooting him? If so, the rule of thumb is if there is any doubt let him walk. Its too close.

      If you arent planning on shooting him and are just asking our opinion - I applaud you. Not much sport shooting something that tame. If your family needs food then that is another story. I just couldnt feel good about taking one like this. Pretty awesome to have those coming in your yard.

        Looks like a lot of difference of opinion here. I'd say shoot him, measure him, and post up so we know who was right and who was wrong.

          I'd say he's legal, but he's young too. Give him a couple of years with good food and water and he'll be a dandy.

                      THere is no difference in shooting a buck that comes into ur back yard to a feeder and a deer that comes to a feeder on ur lease or property to feeder GIVE ME A BREAK the are doing what it takes to survive IF U DON'T LIKE IT GET RID OF UR FEEDERS AND HUNT THE WAY OF THE WEST SPOT AND STALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                              I think he is 13.5 and young. Would be awesome in a year or two but if he is legal and you like him, then I say take him.
