I take NC hunting anyday over TX.. I do enjoy running deer dogs, we had 10 of them growing up. I guess running dogs is about as fair as shooting deer off a feeder but to each their own. As long as Im hunting I'm good.

I LOVE TEXAS but I really enjoyed the weather in Pittsburgh. And the hunting???? OH MAN!!!!! That was where I first got into bowhunting in 2005. You could bowhunt for 3 months or hunt with a shotgun for 2 weeks. That was your only choices since it was a suburb of Pitt. I met a guy through recruiting that had access to a small parcel of land (hillside) At the bottom was a major highway and at the top was houses. My first bowkill on that hillside was a nice 8 point and the 2d year I took a big 5 point. I came home to Texas thinking I could do it anywhere. But I quickly realized the hunting was much different. Up there you can have a lot of deer in a small area and here the deer are very scattered and it seems like they are few and far between.

You know it's sad, when I talk to kids today and they asked what I did in the Army and where I served they look at me like I have two heads. "Bosnia, nothing ever happened in Bosnia".

"You can teach ignorant but, You can't fix stupid". Too many young people today are so ignorant!
