Good cold front on the way but...

As most of you know, we have a good early season cold front that will be pushing through Texas tomorrow and into Monday! Just go to whatever weather site y'all like to use and check out the temperature grids for both lows and highs for most of next week. It does not get much better than that at all after such a very brutal summer...I mean BRUTAL! It will definitely feel like fall once this front comes blasting through.


Now for the bads news. This front will dry things out even more, like they already aren't bad enough! This front will be bringing very gusty dry winds behind it and the fire danger will be increased. The fires that do get going will not be able to be controlled by ground efforts because of strong gusty north winds. Any fires that do get going will turn into a VERY VERY serious situation.

A strong suggestion here...do not even strike a match or lighter outside....no barb-q's either!


After a quick look at the long range GFS, I don't see any relief from rain through mid-September.

Not sure what app you are using? It will be upper 50's/lower 60's for lows for you through Thursday of this coming week.

This is one time we can be glad the channel 3 weather people are wrong. LOL

Even though we need the rain the cooler temps are very welcomed.Should make it a little easier on our firefighters to handle any fires.
