I have several Wildview extreme 2 trailcams with 12v ports for external power. The cameras run on 4 C cell batteries which equates to 6 volts. Although the camera clearly shows "12V" at the port and the specs state it works with 12v external battery power can I use a 6 volt external battery with a 6 volt solar panel? I'm not much on electrical issues so any advice would be helpful.

No use 12volt like it says - I have one and its on a 12v external. I too wondered the same question and the way it was explained to me was they have a converter on the external power jack which is why voltage differes on 6volt internal as 12 volt external. Again - trust the label thats on it. -
