I have not bought any stingers in a while, but did notice on my newer ones the bleeder blade is not replaceable. My old ones I could take the bleader out just like the main blade, the ones I have now I cant, unless I was doing something wrong.

Its not the bow. A 60lb bow with a 350gr arrow can bring down just about anything. Is it ideal for elephant? No, but it can be done. It all comes down to putting a very sharp, sturdy broadhead in the perfect spot. I believe Arnold said it best. "If it bleeds, we can kill it."

You are shooting a 70lb bow. That is more than enough. Take it as a learning experience. You'll get the next one.

the way it was explained to me was that if a concave angle was the most efficient design then wheelchair ramps would be concave. that being said the shuttle t-locks are not going to be as efficient as a straight edge broadhead.

i know a compound has ALOT more hp than a recurve but when i want better penetration i look for a two blad coc head, but in your case i would look very hard at the muzzy phantom, very strong, cut on contact head that flies great and is really sharp. with your added hp you should be able to get two holes instead of one.

Started shooting Phantoms before Muzzy bought them out. I shoot 125 gr 4-blade never have had a problem with noise or the head in general.
Phantoms are getting hard to find so whenever I run across them I buy some, got a pretty good stock pile going.
