How should I go about getting my girl a hunting license?

My girlfriend id not an american citizen. She is from Norway, but i'd like to take her to do some hunting this year. Will she be able to get a season license? what papers would she need?

I would go to the Texas Parks and Wildlife website and look at regulations for non-resident hunting licenses.

No man I have no idea, I've never had to deal with this but this is a great question. My sister in law is a Canadian and hasn't gotten her visa and she goes with my brother down at the ranch but if she wants to kill something we tag it with a MLD tag or our regular tags..... I know may not be the right thing to do so chill any green jeans wanna be's on here.

Does she have a texas drivers license? She should be able to get one. If not, might want to call TPWD, but it will probably end up costing you the Non-Resident fees unless you can them some papers about her residency status.

I think the big question is - how old is she? She may have to take the Hunters Ed course.

she does not have to take hunter ed yet. She can buy a one time defferal, good for one year.

If she has a Texas Driver's license that means she should have had to prove that she is a resident of Texas. With that, I don't know what would keep her from being able to just walk up to a counter and get a resident hunting license.

Texas license then I would say all she needs is her hunter ed and she is good to go.

I would try this.... walk into a Academy and get her a license you will have no problem
