Evant / Bee House Fires

If anyone hunts between Evant and Bee House, on the south or east side of FM183 might check on your camp. Fire Sunday afternoon burned about 1,600 acres. Rumor is someone pulling a BBQ pit down the road set numerous fires.

saw that fire yesterday on way home from my lease, it was huge. saw the helicopters dropping water and the airplanes dropping some red stuff. turned out part of it was on a friends place, he said they only lost one stand and aabout 600 acres. guys from the fire dept. helped them load some of their stands on trailers. the guy pulling the bbq pit needs to be held responsible!

i smelled smoke but i was being worked so hard, i never got a chance to look up and see how close the fire was

Some big deer and lots of blackbuck antelope in that area. Hope they were not affected.
