My brother has the Fred Bear instinct and it is a great bow good speed and quiet, the reason he didnt get the element is because it has plastic limb pockets.

Try taking alook at the pearson priced reasonable for a quality bow.

Plastic Limb Pockets? Wow! I guess I would probably shy away from that as well.
