This I did not know. New releases is why I signed up for Netflix in the first place. Netflix sent me a e-mail about picking one or the other and have till Sept 1st to decide. Just figured they wanted me to get up with the times and go with the "instantly" rather than with snail mail. Looks like I need to go back and read the small print!!!!

A few good moview on Netflix through the Wii, especially if you are getting movies for kids. The movies may be old, but the kids haven't seen them. But, most new releases aren't available via download.

Check into Apple TV. It connects wireless also, and has new releases, tv shows, anything off your laptop, You Tube etc. Should run about 100.00 and PPV's are cheaper then DirectTV or Dish. We love it

          The Wii is already wireless.
You just need to get a wireless router that hooks into you Internet router.
Then you can stream thru your Wii

FYI, don't skimp on it. The cheaper units are trash!
You also want to buy an "N" model. The "G's" are trash.

          We have a netgear N I think cost $100
We run the following on it without lag.

          XBox 360
          Wii
          Laptop
          Blue Ray
And 2 iPhone 4's all watching Netflix at the same time. (just to see if the router could stream all that info at once)
It's a beast and well worth the $ IMO

look into your cable provider if you have cable and internet via them...they can provide a router for you...I have ATT DSL and they provided me with a wireless router, that I have a PC plugged into. This wireless router provides my Mac and iPad and Wii with connectivity....

I'm in the same boat. Just picked up a Wii yesterday and am going to try to connect Netflix this evening after I get home. I already have a wireless router hooked up to my desktop...just need to follow the directions for communication between the two. Hopefully I won't have any problems.

I have started using red box and like it a lot better than netflix. I can rent a lot more movies at red box than Netflix. There is an app for it, you can look at movies reserve them and when you get to the red box all you have to do is slide your debit card.

                    We have AT&T's Uverse (wireless)
Just bought a Roku Streaming Player for $80 - it's EXTREMELY easy to set up and use, plus it comes with Pandora Internet Radio (free), Crackle (more free movies), you can access Facebook (ack, spit, ptooey - but that's just me), and a bunch of other stuff.
I realize the OP already has Wii, but thought I'd give a plug to Roku in case others want to stream NetFlix, etc. and don't already have a streaming device.
Roku provides the simplest way to stream entertainment to your TV. On your terms. With thousands of available channels to choose from.
