Did you think he was dead....

Has this happen to anyone? You think your deer was dead and it starts moving?
Found this on youtube and wondered how many people this happens to I know, it has happen to me elk hunting in Colorado. Now I double check to make sure it is dead. Look at his face when it happens.

That is funny. I read a story once where a guy shot an elk and went to pose with it afterwards when something funny happened. This guy killed an elk, or so he thought, and proceeds to pose with the animal with his rifle laid accross its rack. The elk came to and started running down the mountain with the rifle still hooked to his rack by the sling. There was a video of this somewhere I believe, but I cannot find it. Too funny!!

looks fake all the way (1st video)

notice - shooter glances to his left, as I'm betting a string is attached to the antlers and friend creates deer movement.

Not funny as it is dangerous. Always approach any kill with caution, gun or bow at the ready, and make sure it's dead before doing anything else.

I agree and the clue looks to be taking his glasses off. Funny tho

I double check now after my first incident. Shot a buck with a .223. He was facing toward me and it was a dead center heart shot. I knew the shot was perfect, and it was (his heart was completely destroyed and full of bullet fragments when I cleaned it). He ran after the shot. I waited about 30 minutes and tracked him down. He was laying "dead" in the bottom of a ravine in thick brush. I went to pull him out and he tried to get up when I got a few feet from him. No idea how he lived so long with no heart.

...... hahahaha shot a pig in a trap one time with a 45 drug him out of the trap put him in the back of the truck by hand the whole time thinking he was stone cold dead. Started driving back to camp and the darn thing came to in the bed of the truck and started ramming the side of the bed of the truck and then jumped out and took off like nothing ever happened. Tracked him for 30-40 yards and never ended up finding him.

                      That's the truth

I shot a buck with a bow a few years back. Made a gut shot and gave him about 4 hours. I found him, walked up and a gave a shout of relief to let my buddy know I had found him. The buck through his head up at the shout and looked at me. I quickly drew and shot him again, but he manage to get up and make it about 75 more yards before falling. He definatly wasn't dead, but thats what you get for celebrating too early.
