I have had Texas Bowhunter for a while now and just started to get on lately. So im hoping you all can help me. What is a easy way to camo a box blind. Need some ideas please.
Depends on where you hunt. In the cedar flats I hunt in, just plain 'ol olive drab green works the best. Maybe a couple black or brown vertical stripes. A guy who I hunted with years ago had a blind about 15' in the air and painted it baby blue. Looked silly in camp, but once it was up it fit just right
I honestly don't think it matters. The deer are going to see the box whether it's camo or purple with pink polka dots. If you have corn close by, they will be there.

This ^^^^^^^^^^ once they get used to it it's no big deal.
I agree with Shane.........get it up early and let em get used to it and they could careless what color it is. One thing I have always done though is black out the inside, keep as many windows closed as you can, and black out the OUTSIDE of your windows. This will also get them used to seeing that "Black Hole".
If it is made out of wood, I would definitely paint it. Seal the edges with silicone and get a good coat on it to help protect the wood and it will last much longer. I generally paint mine a solid green color and spray paint trees on it with brown, black and gray paint to blend it in. It may not matter to the deer, but I like the way it looks.

Welcome! I agree with everyone else. If it's wood, then paint it to seal it. If not, it really doesn't matter. One of the women on my lease killed more deer last year out of her pink and purple camo'd stand than any of us men with our meticulously camo'd stands even saw. Good luck and again, welcome aboard!
The deer dont care what it look's like but I like mine camoflauged just because I like it. I start with an OD green base of good exterior flat paint. Then I buy a couple can's of flat black and a couple of tan. Then I use a leafy tree branch and hold it against the blind and spray black over it to make a camo silohuette, I go over the whole blind and then I repeat with the tan. Here's a pic from a distance.
I'm with the others on this. The most important thing is to put it in place as soon as possible. They'll get used to it! They'll probably look at everytime they come by, but it will be familiar to them. Throw some paint on it, and set it in place!
