I'm going to be heading to key west labor day weekend to fish. A full day of flats fishing and a day of off shore fishing. We are trying to decide where to stay. So if any one has been to key west what are some good places to stay?

PM me any questions you got!
Are you going to Key West only or are you planning on visiting other Keys? Permit fishing should be hott down there right now. I cant remember if Lobster season stays open into Sep. might wanna check that out!
If you are staying in Key West I recommend looking into getting a bed & breakfast in the french quarter. Duval st or Whitehead st. You are in the middle of everything, great food, great bars, great scenery and only a short cab ride from the major marinas.

I grew up spending my summers there...try Bud and Marys, they always had clean places on the water...not real fancy but clean. All we ever did is sleep there...to much to do in one day down there...
When you get down there remember those people are on dial up..lol. What I mean is they are on island time so there is no urgency unless your fishing. Dont get mad if your food and waiter take a long time. Just relax once your there.

If you are on a budget stay a best western which is still pricey because its key west lol. They have a very nice large pool with a waterfall and your only feet away from the Atlantic. You gotta go parasailing there the view is awesome. Check out the sunset shows pretty amazing people. Thanks for bringing this up, now I want to go back! LOL. Good luck!

We always get a B & B right off of Duval. Have stayed in a few but cnt recall one of them - hard to go wrong. Please go by Dirty Harry's and have a beer for me. Man I love that place. Oh yeah hope the hurricane doesnt demolish the place - it is sooooooo overdue for a bad one (like Galveston was before Ike). Sorry the timing is bad for your trip.
