I keep mine in the barn and about 2 weeks ago I went out to the barn and both my cables had snapped. From now on during summer months it will be inside.

I can attest to what the heat can do. I once absentmindedly left my Mathews in a black plastic case sitting on the porch at a friend's ranch one hot summer day. It sat out there for about two hours - when I opened the case the riser was almost too hot to touch and one limb had delaminated. Since then I don't take chances when it's hot - they come inside.

I'm waiting for a refrigerated bow case that can be plugged in the car for summers. Where can I find this?

One spare bedroom in my house is my "hunting room". All my guns, bows, hunting clothes, reloading equipment and other hunting related equipment reside in this room. Any temperature extremes are not good for bows IMO.

Fellow on our lease last year kept his older bow in the garage and limbs came apart. Then earlier this summer his new bow limbs came apart - don't know where he kept it. I don't even like keeping mine in the truck except for travel.

Right here, you can also hang a couple of hogs or exotics.

None of my bows get left in heat of any kind. Of course I don't leave mine alone long enough for them to stay in the heat of the garage. They reside in their cases in our master bedroom when not in use.

I was at a bowshop in Irving, TX one day ('94/'95) when a bow exploded inside of a guys truck. He left the bow hanging by the string/cables on a gun rack on the back glass. It was very hot outside and when the bow exploded, it blew out the back glass of the truck. It was not a good day for him for sure. Since that day......I go to extremes to not let anything like that happen to myself or my bows.

I would find a way to move the bow inside the house, put it in a closet or spare room, you could always lock your bow case to keep little hands out of it

Unless you want to ruin your bow i wouldn't keep it in the garage. Heat is very bad for any compound bow!

The only thing my garage is fit to keep anything in is pipe wrenches and shovels these days.

I keep mine in it's case in the back of the closet in our master bedroom. Extreme temperatures are bad for anything with strings. When I still played tennis I was told to never leave my rackets in my vehicle. Our coach said he had players whose rackets had cracked or strings had loosened from being left in a hot vehicle all day. I just figured the same thing could happen to a bow.
