ROUND MOUNTAIN, Texas -- KVUE News has learned a brush fire is burning on the Blanco/Burnet County line near Round Mountain and US 281 and 962 North.

The Texas Forest Service estimates 200 acres have burned and 50 residences are threatened. Three commercial buildings are also threatened. Two out buildings have been destroyed.

A Texas Forest Service spokesperson says the fire was started by a flat tire on a trailer. Fires were sparked in two places on Bird Lane and then merged to form one larger fire.

Two tanker planes have been sent to help fight the blaze.

One firefighter has suffered minor injuries. One civitlian has been treated for stress-related injuries

Yup. Had one 3 miles from there last week that just flared up again before this one did. Got two of em burning now next to each other.... Bad deal

Just came through there around 1pm today. I didn't see anything. It is amazing how dry everything is in Central Texas. The fire at HWy71 and 281 has been on and off for the last week. I don't know what will happen if there is no rain anytime soon. The pond in my avatar behind my house is turning RED and All our fish arew a float. It has been a buzzar buffet the last couple of day. It is getting very sad around these parts. Lord Please Send Some Rain.
