Academy corn...

Last week Academy was the cheapest corn we could find..at $7.49.. bought a bunch of it.. and it all smelled of mildew.. deer don't seem to mind so we didn't either.
A week later, hit Academy up again for another run.. $8.49...
Up a dollar in a week... same mildew smell.

I got some and for "recleaned corn"it was very dirty.To the point I was picking stalks out of it so it wouldn't plug my feeder.

My buddy bought some from Academy last week and it was almost as bad as the crap I bought from D i c k s a few years ago. Cheap but real dirty...
**** it, I'll just spend the money for good clean corn and not fuss over it. After everything else I spend on hunting corn is near the bottom anyway.

I bought some last week and it looked like old corn, but it was $6.95 a bag. I checked each bag to make sure it was okay. My feeder is now full.

7 per bag at merritt feed in weatherford. Never had problems with stalks there. Brown bags of recleaned corn with orange print

This weekend we got some corn at the low price of 9 something per bag!

Cleanest corn I have found is the Remington at Walmart. I found very little trash. Not even enough to be concerned with.

I just picked up 40 bags (40 Lbs)at Dicks for $6.98 ea. I mentioned the green screen and the manager wanted me to let everybody know that they had changed corn suppliers and their corn was clean. LOL, he said we were hammering them for dirty corn a while back. I'm not giving my approval just yet. I will let you all know tomorrow after I fill the feeders. I went to the one in Arlington, he said he has 22 pallets coming in on Monday and the price was going to stay the same for now. $7 for 40Lbs is the same as $9 for 50Lbs.

The things I am willing to do just to make sure my family has good clean deer meat on the table.
