Thanks for sharing! Always wondered what happened to him. I think he was on Tom McGuire's (?) videos back when videos first came out. I still have a couple of Alan's videos as well. I believe at one time he had killed the TN state record deer.
"Hey bud, I just got a call from KS about the website!"
"What?! HOW?? It's not even "live" yet? And how did anyone get YOUR NUMBER???"
"Well, this buddy of mine in KS got a call from a fella in Texas... he'd tried to call me about a blade, but said the number was wrong."
MY APOLOGIES TO THAT "Fella"!
As I mentioned in my first post, this thing is still a 'work in progress'. One item that remains on the finish list... is the CONTACT page. After crafting the 'look' of the page, I forgot that there was SAMPLE information (so Alan could see what it would look like) still on the page.
Wow! Now you have my full attention! That dude is crazy good with flint. I have never ever seen any piece of stone so incredibly beautiful...what a craftsman! And so, why isn't he on TBH?????
Great job with the site. I like how it flows just right, not too fast or too slow from one page to another. That is also some quality work.
I am working DILIGENTLY on getting Alan to become a sponsor (Alan and his crafting will be a major feature story in an upcoming SPORTING CLASSICS). I've also told him of the 'difference' here at TBH (we both spent years on the major 'trad' sites... ).
I haven't posted in a while due to an 'interesting' year or so, from the job search to health anomalies... 'nuff said on that.
You're good folk. My time here is refreshing.
