Anyone Seeing what the Rangers are doing?

Well it's the dog days of August and the little Red Shoes are going to run away and hide in the West.

I think that Last nights game shows what a shallow pen the Angels have and that they do not have a full Starting 5.

I hope I am not getting ahead of myself, but that team is Hitting on all 9 cylinders in the batting order. And they still have depth on the bench to help out. I think it is pretty cool when you have 2 catchers in the line up and they are winning.

Maybe we need to try and get a TBH playoff game together or maybe a watching party somewhere. Who would be in for this?

Those boys are playing some really good ball right now. I never could understand how the Angels have been hanging around this year. They're not a very good team (especially the pitching) and its starting to show. LETS GO RANGERS !!!!!!!

I wouldn't call the race over yet. If they keep playing like they are right now, and only putting Oliver in with more than a six run lead, we have a great shot at beating anyone. It is great having beltre coming back in th future. It should be really interesting to see who they bring up when the rosters expand.

Rangers are fun to watch right now if they could replace Oliver in the bullpen I think they would be set. I'll be glad to get off the left coast late games are killin me.

Their defense last night was AWESOME. Elvis is a one-man highlight reel, and others made some great plays as well. Pitching was good, but defense was just as good or better. I agree that losing Oliver would make the team even better.

You know when they are playing this type of ball I don't mind staying up till midnight.

Agreed, you gotta love what you're seeing right now. And when we get Beltre back, the defense and the lineup should only get better. Starting pitching continues to impress me, I'm just not sure how they will do in a playoff situation. But at least we heading in the right direction.

Young and Kinsler are on fire. Keep it up boys. I cannot wait to get Beltre back!

The only good thing about August (other than my Birthday), is its one month closer to October. Im starting to get excited again. The guys are playing some pretty good ball. Im seeing some genuis in our adding the picthers we did for down the stretch.

They could still split this series and have a four game lead. Let's hope they sweep the series and go up eight games!!! Still a ways to go with Boston up next if I'm not mistaken...

I could be up for this, but I work evenings so it will have to be a Sat. or Sun. for me.
I agree with the Oliver statement but I really dont see them getting anything for him or even anyone takeing him.

How many runs do you think the Rangers lose with Kinsler leading off? They have a really great team and a poor manager, IMO. That lineup is brutal, and I think it costs them some games. Elvis sure is fun to watch, it makes this Astros fan jealous

While Kinsler is only batting .245, he has 70 walks which is twice as many as anyone else on the team giving him an OBP of about .350. Thats getting into the respectable range for leadoff for most major league teams. I agree he is not a true leadoff hitter but this team does not really have one. Elvis is the closest everyday player to being a leadoff but he has already proven that he does not do well in that role.
