Removing a rusted choke from a shotgun?

Anybody have a trick for removing a rusted choke from a shotgun? Its been soaking in PB Blaster ( gun standing on the barrel in a water bottle full of PBB just above the choke) since yesterday afternoon, but so far no dice. I dont really want to try to put any heat to it for fear of damaging the camo finish amongst other things. Any Ideas

Throw that barrel away and get a new one???
Seriously, you wanna shoot it again? Rusted and with the pressures created by ammo?

Chop saw works pretty well but makes installing a new choke a kittle time consuming. Lol

Had a buddy with the same problem,he took it to a gun shop and they cut off the barrel and choke and rethreaded the barrel.

Might try tapping on the choke very lightly to see if you can "jar" it loose...

Stick an ice cube in the end of the barrel/choke, let it sit in ice water like you have it sitting in the Blaster now...while it is chilling down, heat some water or let it run HOT from the tap...dip a wash rag in the hot water, take the barrel out of the ice water keeping an ice cube inside the end of barrel/choke, wrap the hot towel around the end of the barrel for a few seconds to let the barrel expand a little while the choke stays cold from the piece of ice, and try to unscrew the choke...may take a few tries.

Same thing happens occasionally while working on 10/22's, the barrel will get stuck in the receiver...have to put the whole thing in the freezer, once it's cold, take it out and wrap a hot towel around the edge of the receiver, once it warms/expands a bit, the barrel can be wiggled out.

                  Good luck!

The choke is pretty much ruined as the last 2" of the barrel may also be depending on the severity of the rust

At the gunshop where I worked, stuck chokes were soaked in KROIL for several days. We machined a custom fit sleeve that fit inside the choke tube, and removed chokes with an impact wrench.

Brownells and Midway sell tools to remove stuck chokes

if this doesn't work...add a little heat for your last hope.

What choke is in the gun?? I have shot nothing but modified out of my benelli M1 since I bought it used.

Take it to a qualified gunsmith in your area. Probably wont cost a whole lot.

And they make a special lube for chokes to keep it from happening again.
I've been down the same road as you, good luck.

As others have said: Boil water, insert gun barrel/choke tube, let it get good and hot and take it out and try it. If that doesn't work you might as well take it to a gunsmith.

Yup, I just use never-seize on mine now, and make sure that they are only hand tight. I check mine every few shots to make sure it's not backing out but is still hand tight.
