    Knives of Alaska

Anyone know who carries them around Houston or Dallas? Cabelas and BPS don't have them on their websites, and I'd like to see one in person before I drop $150 on a knife.

    Thanks!

I bought 1 a couple of years ago at the Cabelas in Ft. Worth. Was told they sharpen or repair them in Sherman but you cant buy them there.

                Here's the address/phone contact info.

The guy is usually at the TTHA Show. My buddy had him make some custom grips out of elk horn for his bow once. He does a lot of other custom stuff besides the knives. If you're up that way, call him and stop by. He's a heck of a nice guy to talk to... for the life of me, I can't remember his name. I bought a custom folder from him once for caping, just like his standard caping blade only a folder... That little sucker has taken the hide off a bunch of animals over the years. I always wanted to get one of those sets, but I just don't use big knives/cleavers for anything that I dress, so have never been able to make myself pull the trigger on something I know I'll never really use... They are cool knives and are easy to sharpen though.

Charles Allen. He also used to be an outfitter in Alaska. I think he still owns a place up there.
