    300 gal tote connector

I have a 300 gal tote i plan on using for a water system at my feeder but the plastic valve broke and i need a way to connect it to pvc, whats the easiest way to do this. I read a thread on here a couple weeks ago but the threaded opening on my tote was bigger than the 2 in female adapter the thread suggested. Does anyone know what size it take?
    Thanks for the help.

I dont know what size it is, and they do vary. Mine wouldnt fit a 2" NPT either. I am a machinist so I made one. Sometime later I read somewhere that tractor supply co has the correct fittings. They are for chemical tanks/ sprayers.

You can buy a new 1/2" bulkhead tank fitting for $5.

We bought 2 - 300 gal. totes recently and had a valve break on one of them also. I called the seller to see if he had another valve-for purchase...."not at this time, maybe this week". So if not, I found this place....GIVE THEM A CALL !

Im assuming the male end goes in the tank. Is this one of those $125 square containers with the cage around it ? Used to get these from a old paint company from Houston.

The female coupling (gray) attaches to the male threads of the 300gal. caged tote.

If there is still threads on the tank go to a plumbing supply house and get a new ball valve with male ends. The ones I have gotten on those tanks before had same problem with valve breaking. Has to be 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 from looking at the picture.
