1-5 Drawings Started:Up to Bat, jmcampbell

John shot a beautiful elk that he is having me draw. The bull will be on a snow filled mountain overlooking the area. I started out with a schematic 10 minute sketch on trash paper to make sure I understand what John is requesting.

Once confirmed, I start drawing my fine line layout to make sure everything looks to be in proportion and use that as my guide to start filling in. Once that's set, I get to work. I was able to work on this last night and a little more this afternoon. I always like to draw the antler's first...kind of like eating dessert before the meal I guess. Anyway, here's what I have completed so far.

Looking good! I see lots of background (eating peas after the cake) in your future.

Starting on the background now. I'm trying to illustrate seeing the bull's breath in the drawing.

In looking at the first picture, I'm thinking to myself...self...We could MAYBE do that...if it were more like a stick elk cus we can draw a weed and a cactus!

Then you blew me away with the whole second and more serious piece of art!! WOW!!!
