    flat tire question

I picked up a nail somewhere and have a tire going flat. I'm at camp in sorta in the middle of nowhere with a can of fix a flat and a great attitude. The question is , should I pull out the the nail before I use the can of fix a flat or not? I expect a total flat when i wake up in the morning so any input is appreciated. Btw, I'm in the company car/SUV and all I have is the stupid donut spare.

if nail in not sticking out i would just leave it in, till you can get it patched-replaced. Same thing happen to me and put a can of fix a flat and held up decent

I would pull the nail and screw a screw(similar size as nail) into the hole. And I would do it now so you don't loose all your air. Then put your fix a flat in it. Putting the screw in the hole will stop the leak. Trust me. It works.

I wouldn't put fix a flat in my lawn mower tire. Leave the nail. Limp it in on the donut if you have to

I've worked at discount tire for over 2 yrs, if it was me I'd def leave it in and put your fix a flat in. Unless the hole is just that big it should hold air for awhile.

If the Spacesaver spare has plenty of air in it I would just put that on until you get to a tire shop to plug or patch the regular tire. I've drove for 3 or 4 days on a space saver spare.

Drive around a little to spread the fix a flat inside the tire.

I do have an stationary air compressor here at camp but the tire goes flat within 1.5 hrs and once I get on the road tomorrow morning I don't have access to air. Just need to decide whether or not to pull the nail before using the can of fix a flat. Plus, I plan on hunting in the morning before i take off and need the vehicle to get me to the stand and then home.

Another thing I have done is find a screw just a little larger round than the nail and if you have any pvc pipe glue put it on screw and then put the screw into the hole in the tire......andy

Leave the Nail in, Put Fix-A-Flat in Tire. Top off with air and drive around a little to Seal. Get to Tire Shop ASAP.
