Craigslist hunts

Been watching CL lately, looking for a cheap and close place to try my new rifle on a hog. I have to laugh at some of the ads the talk about how great the hunting is but their trail cam pics are years old. One even claims the pics are from August 2011 but the stealthcam date stamp is from 2007

Anybody here ever booked a hunt from craigslist?

i would stay away from CL. Too many scams.

little mountian guide service isnt bad, nice folks

I've hunted 4 different places I found on craigslist. 3 were great hunts and as good or better than I expected. The other was ok and had animals but was mislead a little about the place. 3 outta 4 ain't bad!
If they don't have a website and don't have testimonials or references they are probably iffy.
Try the Dallas craigslist. Much more hunts than Houston.

There is a place in Hempstead that posts hunts on CL occasionally. Rock Island Ranch I believe. They'll do you right.

I've seen hogs at Rock Island everytime I go there. The only problem is the guide is a complete d. I stopped going there cuz of him.

We hunted a place north of Austin that we found on cl. Absolutely loved it.
