    Release question

I have always used a Scott goose release and I am thinking of switching to this one.Have any of you used this type and how durable is the nylon strap?I am looking for pros and cons ,thanks.I was thinking that this type would eliminate any possible torque and maybe lengthen my draw lenght since I use a string loop.

A release aid will not affect your draw length, only your anchor point. And Scott makes very good releases.

I've never shot that specific release but me, my son and my middle daughter all shoot Carter 2Shot with the nylon strap and my youngest is using a Scoot little bitty goose with the strap. To me the strap is much easier to adjust than the bar, it's quieter (don't bump it on stuff) and its more comfortable.

I would not say the strap is better, just better in my opinion and really that'w what it's all about. Finding the solution that works best for you. I would suggest giving it a try.

My trufire is a web type. It's been pretty durable, infinitely adjustable and I'm very happy with it. I also liked the no torque aspect of it.

It can't change it but it can make it so you need to change it. The draw length on the bow won't change. You may be drawing your hand back further (anchor point) and maybe to the point where you shorten your draw length to bring your anchor point forward, but the release itself can't change draw length. That's what everyone means by that.

I think you are very wrong. Your bow will only draw X amount regardless of what you have on the string. Your ANCHOR point will change depending on the release you use and different string loop lengths.

Please explain how a release aid will help you draw your bow further back than the cams will allow.

Scott's little goose and now the sabertooth. I have never had a problem with the strap.

True...It can make it where you need to change it.If there is any play at all in your draw lenght it can make a difference.
