    Base layer question

Looking to purchase some base layer this year and don't know what to choose. Hoping some of yall can help. I know scentlok is probablly the way to go, but has anyone used medalist silvermax?

Picked up the redhead spandex "scent lock" base layers while they have their sale going (bass pro shops).

Then again..the way things are going now, all we'll need is a loin cloth and a thermacell.

Never used either but found this and now I wear the entire line during the cold months. It is some good stuff in my opinion.

I was thinking about the UA base myself. I want to go with the 3.0 because I hate being cold just have a hard time spending the money on it. Anyone use it? what else is out there that works?

When it is cold I wear the base layer made by Rocky. Fantastic stuff and about 50% or less than what UA or other name brand stuff costs. Personally I think it is warmer than UA. I get mine in the sporting good section of Walmart. I think each piece is around $15 to $17.

I have tried a couple different base layers the lasts two years. I didn't like the Redhead brand at all. I found that Sitka keeps me warmer than UA. Layers are the key no matter what you go with.

I love my underarmor layers. I'm not too big on the scent thing as much as playing the wind, so I just look for warm, comfortable, and moisture wicking.

It ain't the cold I have a problem with, it's the heat.... I normally don't have problems with temps in the 20's or 30's... it's the above 60 I have trouble with.

                        x2

I am more worried about keeping warm than scent control when it gets cold

I have heard of people hunting in a leafy mesh bug suit and shorts or skivies when it is hot
