First of all, I'm back! I came around in early 2002-2003 but between job and family had to pick my battles at the house and hunting took back seat for awhile. Anyways, I'm glad to be back and look forward to many insights, opportunities, and friendships.

Ok, new lease in Voss, TX. What game should be expected? I have only seen skinheads so far... The landowner couldn't really say what we will see... Anyone hunting Voss and have any game pics?

I hunted in Voss for several years. It was awesome! Depending upon where you are you will see, Whitetail, hogs, turkey, coons, bobcats, porcupine, also a few Black Bucks in the area. Dove season is usually AWESOME.

cfortner probably has lots of pics from that area. I guess it depends on where around Voss you are. I didn't think south of Voss was real good, at least 12 miles south of Voss that is. There is a highway that runs south out of Voss. The land to the West of that highway looks great and have heard good things. Ten years ago when we started hunting out there we didn't see any hogs but the last 3 years on our lease(ended in 2009) the hogs started showing up.

We are West of FM 503 just off CR 322...

I hunt SW of voss in between Voss and Doole off of 1929 towards O.H Ivey. We haven't seen any hogs yet but there's a lot of deer in that area. An awesome dove spot and if theres water more than likely you will have some ducks.

No signs of hogs found yet and landowner said they have seen a couple in the last few years... I would think with the drought there will be more chances for game to be moving in and or out...
