In the market for mid priced spotting scope - $500 ish. Any feedback on scopes in that range? Would think Nikon or Leupold but there may be some I am not aware of. Thanks

I've used a Nikon and was not impressed. Never used a Leupold spot scope but own both binocs and rifle scopes and both are good._

Alpen. They've made spotting scopes for years for Olympic and NFAA archers. They are absolutely the best out there, but their prices are excellent for what you seek. Send me a PM and I'll look to see if I can hook you up with an even better price.

I know I impressed Brett York on Sunday with some Alpen binos.
